Grey Canberra boosts creative and digital teams with new hires

ASIA-PACIFIC – AUSTRALIA, APRIL 12, 2013 – Grey Canberra is strengthening its creative and digital offerings with key hires, welcoming on board creative veteran Dave Byrne as senior art director; experienced communications strategist Bryce Logan as digital and media strategist; and account director Julia Unwin as a team lead to oversee client communications strategies and implementation, digital initiatives and to grow strategic partnerships.

Byrne is a seasoned and experienced creative whose 13-year career counts a diverse portfolio of clients that include Western Power, PKF, Spotless Group, Perth Exhibition and Convention Centre, the Disabilities Services Commission and the Western Australian Institute of Sport, ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation), AGDA (Australian Graphic Design Association), and several ACT Government and Australian Government departments. He recently returned to Canberra, his home town after a five year stint in Canada where he worked on clients such as Microsoft, the Canada Tourism Commission, Canada Post, Siemens, Cathay Pacific, BC Hydro and Alaska Airlines.

Logan joins Grey from Universal McCann where he served client brands such as the Australian Government, Microsoft, NineMSN (NineMSN, Hotmail, Messenger), AAPT, Lindt and Zuji Travel. His appointment will play an important role in helping to lift the agency’s strategic planning capabilities across traditional and in particular, digital media platforms.

Unwin returns to Grey from Whybin TBWA, where she led the Nissan account. Her eight-year career spans work for clients such as Leggo’s, Michelin Tyres and The Australian of the Year Awards.
