GLOBAL — Ogilvy & Mather has appointed Cristina ‘Tin’ Sanchez as Global Creative Director for Dove. Sanchez will oversee global work done for Dove’s Skin Cleansing segment and the newly launched Dove Baby range. She will be based in London.
Sanchez was the ECD of BBDO Guerrero in Manila where she led local campaigns that attracted global attention, such as Pantene ‘Labels Against Women’ and The #Unselfie. As a copywriter, Sanchez won her country’s first ever metal in Cannes as well as its first Gold Lion. She was FCB Kuala Lumpur’s Group ECD before moving to Ogilvy.
“I love the point-of-view Dove has taken as a brand and how it has reshaped the way its own category connects with women. And I love that I’m going to be part of its team,” said Sanchez.
She joins Ogilvy in March and will report to Dedé Laurentino, Global Executive Creative Director (ECD) at Ogilvy for Unilever.
“I’m delighted to have Cristina join us. Dove is a very special brand, and Cristina personally shares so many of the brand’s human values. Her work shows that she’s not only a great creative, but a woman in complete synch with the zeitgeist of our time. That’s a rather special gift.”
During her tenure as ECD of BBDO Guerrero in Manila, the agency racked up a list of achievements rising to the Gunn Report’s Top 50 agencies and Campaign’s Philippine Creative Agency of The Year for 2014.
