KOREA – Two native ad veterans are set to lead the creative team of Geometry Global Korea as the network appoints Geometry Global Creative Director Usuk Li and Cheil Worldwide Associate Creative Director/Senior Art Director Jihoon Park as joint creative directors.
Li has been a true blue veteran of Geometry Global and G2 after having spent 10 fruitful years starting as an Art Director. His credentials include successes in shopper marketing and leading a wide range of client accounts including Heineken, P&G, IBM and other key brands. He has a total of more than 13 years of advertising experience for markets in and out of Korea.
“Geometry Global has been an integral part of my life and career for many years and I’m humbled by the confidence placed in me. I continue to be inspired by the talent and commitment of our creative team and I look forward to creating more cutting-edge campaigns which speak directly to consumers,” shared Li.
Park, on the other hand, hails from Cheil Worldwide where he led the creative team’s training and development, ““The advertising industry in Korea is growing at a phenomenal rate with the emergence of digital technologies, new marketing platforms and evolving consumer demands. I’m thrilled to be a part of such a talented and innovative company and by the challenge of taking creativity to the next level.”
He has more than 12 years of advertising experience, 9 of which were dedicated working for major brand, Samsung. In 2006, he won Korea’s first ever Grand Prix award for Young Lotus at the Asia Pacific ADFEST held in Pattaya, Thailand.
The creative duo will be reporting to Will MacKenzie, CEO, Geometry Global Korea, “The joint Creative Director roles in our Korea office will combine the individual strengths of these two leading talents. Both Usuk and Jihoon bring with them a wealth of local cultural and market knowledge, making them instrumental in strengthening the creative team and driving compelling work for our clients. We have already achieved much success and under their leadership we will continue to push boundaries in the creative realms.”
