GetCraft names former UangTeman exec Darmawan Zaini as the new CTO

JAKARTA – Southeast Asia’s premier content marketplace GetCraft announced the appointment of Darmawan Zaini as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the company’s technology and innovation efforts in a bid to further scale up its services in the region.

From the GetCraft headquarters in Jakarta, Darmawan will take over the company’s technology research and development strategy as it looks to enhance its platform amid scheduled expansions to Vietnam and Thailand.

“GetCraft has been spearheading the creative and media boom in Southeast Asia, and the opportunity to continue that journey was one I wasn’t going to miss,” Darmawan Zaini said.

Prior to joining GetCraft, Darmawan held several senior engineering positions at technology-based companies, most recently as Chief Technology and Product Officer at UangTeman. He has also had tenure at Happy5 and Samsung R&D Institute Indonesia.

In early 2017, GetCraft has raised a seed round of funding from 500 Startups & Indonesia’s Convergence Ventures to up its technology and development expansion. The company is now in talks with multiple VCs to raise Series A funding round.

GetCRAFT last year worked on more than 5,000 projects for over 250 brands with clientele including Facebook, Samsung, Microsoft, Unilever, Schneider Electric, Pond’s, Uniqlo, Nestlé, Microsoft, and many more.
