The CCA GONG 2017 Awards Show yesterday on November 29 was attended by a sell-out crowd of Singapore’s most influential creative & art directors, designers, photographers, copywriters, film directors, producers and content creators.
Once again, MullenLowe Singapore walked away with Agency of the Year for the second year in a row while Black Design bagged both Independent Agency of the Year and Design Agency of the Year. Ogilvy & Mather, winner of last year’s Digital Agency of the Year held on fast to the award again this year while Nemesis Pictures Pte Ltd took home the Production Company of the Year Award.
The coveted Grand Prix went to Ogilvy & Mather for its entry “Pitching French Films to Hollywood”. Unilever Singapore walked away as Advertiser of the Year having bagged the most awards as a client in the second year running.
Drishti Khemani and Au Hoi Wa both clinched the Gold from 19 teams in the GONG NexGen, a mini creative competition for creatives under 35 years of age. Other awards for young creative talents included Farhan Darma of Havas Singapore who took home the Young Art Director of the Year award while the Young Copywriter of the Year award went to Lina Paik of TBWA. Other individual awards went to Aundrea Bligh and Caroline Frances from The Prosecution Film Company Pte Ltd and Ann May Chua from BBDO Singapore for Producer of the Year. And once again, Jeremy Wong of Nemesis Pictures takes home the Photographer of the Year while Roslee Yusof of Freeflow Productions claimed the Director of the Year award.
