Havas Worldwide appoints Sunny Hermano as Business Development & Integration Director

Havas Worldwide has appointed Sunny Hermano as Business Development & Integration Director, South East Asia. The industry veteran joins Havas in a newly created role, moving his base from Shanghai, China to Bangkok, Thailand.  

He will be part of the key regional team at Havas Worldwide to work alongside the newly promoted Chief Operating Officer, Levent Guenes to further develop the agency’s digital services and establish additional operational best practices for Havas Creative Group’s global and regional clients in Southeast Asia. Hermano will report to Juan Rocamora, Chairman of Havas Worldwide Asia Pacific. 

An industry veteran with over 25 years’ experience, Hermano brings proven leadership excellence and multi-faceted insights gained through numerous senior assignments in markets in the USA and Asia, namely Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and China. Having worked with some of the world’s biggest advertising agencies, Hermano has led and conceptualised award-winning campaigns across a portfolio of clients, including Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Citibank, ANZ Bank, BMW, Honda, IBM, Visa, Levi’s and Unilever.

Most recently as the General Manager of AGENDA Shanghai, a full-service integrated digital agency, he was instrumental in leading the overall business output of the agency as well as driving business growth. Prior to AGENDA, he was the Group Chief Operating Officer at Riverorchid, an independent brand communications agency that operates across Indochina – Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Cambodia. He managed the daily operations of the Thailand agencies and established the digital arm, Riverorchid Digital, which secured blue chip clients for the division – all within a 14-month timeframe.
