R3 Worldwide has revealed its February 2020 New Business report for APAC, ranking the top 10 creative and media agencies and providing a broader look into the business, in comparison to the local and regional market.
Creative agencies
A mix of Asia-Pacific and global clients claim the top spots for new business wins in the APAC creative industry, with VMLY&R on top for its global mandate on tech company Intel and followed by Isobar for TCL Electronics Digital, another global client.
BBDO received two of the biggest business wins in this report, with Goretex in Japan and Frabelle Project in the Philippines. Another agency earning itself two spots in the top 10 is Ogilvy for its partnerships with Instagram Japan and Nike Korea.
Other notable wins are Havas Worldwide for Yili Group in China; 72andSunny for Budweiser in SE Asia; DDB for McDonald’s Digital in Australia; and BBH for WM Motor in China.
Media agencies
A roster of accounts from China dominated the Top 10 media agencies in February, as majority of the big wins came from the country. This includes Zenith’s Shanghai General Motors account, OMD and Wavemaker for Daimler, MediaCom and GIC for Audi digital, Mindshare for PepsiCo, Mediacom for Shanghai Volkswagen and Skoda and PSA.
Other big accounts won in February are PHD for the global media mandate of Diageo, and Omnicom Media Group’s new partnership with Johnson & Johnson for Australia and New Zealand.
