CHILE – The Interpublic Group has launched a dedicated agency team called Graphene to work on the global marketing needs of LATAM Airlines, the largest airline group in Latin America.
Graphene will unify IPG’s responsibilities for the brand, covering media planning, creatives, digital and CRM in 24 countries where it operates. LATAM is a merger between LAN and TAM airlines, the largest carriers of Chile and Brazil, respectively, in 2013.
IPG won the business following a competitive review involving five large holding companies, which began in March of this year.
The bespoke ad team will be led by McCann Worldgroup and IPG Mediabrands, and includes talent and tools from McCann, Initiative, Reprise, Cadreon, MRM//McCann and Craft.
Graphene came in time with plans to launch LATAM in the first half of 2016, Jerome Cadier, VP of Marketing at LATAM Airlines Group, said in a statement. In comes with a new logo that was just launched last week, designed by the Sao Paulo, Santiago, and Madrid offices of Omnicom-owned Interbrand.
