SINGAPORE – Concluding the Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity at the awards ceremony held in Mastercard Theatre, Marina Bay Sands, works both familiar and new make up the this year’s Grand Prix winners.

Household campaigns, ‘Brewtroleum’ by Colenso BBDO for DB Breweries and ‘McWhopper’ by Y&R New Zealand for Burger King have again claimed multiple Grand Prix awards for Integrated, Outdoor, and Promo and Activation and Direct, and Print & Publishing, respectively. This achievement follows the agencies’ fresh top award wins in Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and AD Stars.

Another familiar campaign that won Gold Lotuses in Asia-Pacific AdFest, ‘Deng Adut’ by VCD + We Collective for Western Sydney University, took home two Grand Prix awards in Film and new Spikes Asia category, Music.

A multiple bronze and silver winner at Cannes Lions, ‘Touchable Ink’ by J. Walter Thompson for Thai Samsung Electronics and Thai Association, a campaign that created a special ink that turned ordinary printers into braille printers, racked three Grand Prix awards for Design, Innovation, and Healthcare.

A campaign that we haven’t seen a lot in other shows this year, ‘Hungerithm’ by Clemenger BBDO for Mars Chocolate, comes out triumphant in this year’s Spikes Asia after winning two Grand Prix awards for Media and Mobile for making the internet angry resulting to cheaper Snickers.
