Kaizad Pardiwalla to lead Grey Mumbai

ASIA-PACIFIC – MUMBAI, INDIA, APRIL 4, 2011 – Grey India has appointed Kaizad Pardiwalla (pictured) as Branch Head for its Mumbai office, replacing Hari Krishnan, who will move to head Grey South India’s operations as Vice President and Head. The appointment takes effect on April 11. Both Pardiwalla and Krishnanwill report to Sen.
 
Prior to joining Grey Mumbai, Pardiwalla worked at Bates 141 Mumbai as Executive Vice President, and his portfolio included brands such as Virgin Mobile, Colgate-Palmolive, Tang, Fiat, TVS, Tata AIG, MTV, Pfizer and ICICI Cards, among others.
 
His key mandate as the Brand Head of Grey Mumbai is to launch new digital marketing initiatives for the office, in addition to running the advertising business with the specific objective to make digital, advertising and activation work seamlessly together to create a single idea-led solution for clients.
 
Grey India has reinvented itself by bringing on board several senior level talents, in turn attracting numerous new clients, namely Reliance Communications, Ferrero and Bharti AXA General Insurance, to name a few.
 
According to Jishnu Sen, Chief Operating Officer, Grey India, “We are thrilled to have Kaizad join us at this very exciting time. Grey Mumbai is our flagship office, with a stellar roster of clients and a pool of talented people. I expect Kaizad to inject his talent and experience, to lead the office to the next level.”
 
Commenting on his appointment, Pardiwalla said, “I am absolutely delighted to be joining Grey Mumbai. There is a strong sense of motivation within the office and recent wins have displayed that the agency is on track to achieve greater results. I look forward to working with Jishnu and rest of the team to do even better work in years to come.”
 
Pardiwalla started his career with Lowe Lintas in India in 1995 and then moved to Ogilvy Advertising where he spent seven years there. In 2004, he was appointed as Business Director, OgilvyOne Worldwide, the digital and direct marketing arm of Ogilvy, where he headed the operations in the Western region. Three years later, Pardiwalla was appointed as the National Head of OgilvyOne India. Under his leadership, the agency serviced key clients such as American Express, Cadbury, CISCO, IBM, ICICI Lombard, ITC, The Economist and Vodafone, among others.
 
A die hard Bombayite, Kaizad did his undergraduate studies at the Sydenham College (Mumbai) and postgraduate studies at NMIMS Mumbai. His is passionate about theatre, Formula 1, soccer and food.
 
Commenting on Krishnan, Sen said, “Hari needed to go back to Bangalore for personal reasons. His familiarity with both the office and the market will help propel the growth of our South operation.”

 
Krishnan said, “I had a great time working at Grey Mumbai. From being a part of some thrilling new business pitches to working on memorable campaigns, it has been a terrific ride and I am fortunate to have had such an awesome team to work with. I look forward to working with the team in Grey South India on clients such as 3M, Bharti AXA, ITC Foods, amongst others and to grow our operations there.”
