GLOBAL – APRIL 12, 2011 – The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has named the Cyber, Film Craft, Media & Radio juries for this year’s festival, happening in Cannes, France on June 19 to 25.
“The outcome of the judging process is crucial to the future of the industry. We can never underestimate the role that these talented professionals will take on when they vote, deliberate and award the best work currently out there. It’s an honour to have such authorities onboard for this year’s awards,” says Terry Savage, Chairman of Cannes Lions.
Nick Law, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of R/GA, USA, leads the Cyber Lions jury. Joining him from Asia Pacific are Nancy Hartley, Executive Creative Director, SapientNitro Australia; Fareeda Cassumbhoy, Deputy General Manager, Hylink Advertising, China; Ryan Menezes, Chief Creative Officer, Percept/H, India; Hiroki Nakamura, Creative Director, Dentsu, Japan; Won Hye-Jin, Creative Director, Innocean Worldwide, Korea; Jose Alomajan, Digital Partner, Droga5, New Zealand; and Valerie Cheng, Executive Creative Director, JWT XM Singapore.
Keith Rose, Director at Velocity Films in South Africa presides over the Film Craft Lions jury. Among the jury members from the region are David Denneen, Director, Film Graphics Entertainment, Australia; Prasoon Pandey, Ad Film Maker, Corcoise Films, India; and Naoki Ito, Creative Director, Freelance, Japan. 

Chairing the Media Lions jury is Maria Luisa Francoli Plaza, Global Chief Executive Officer of MPG. Aiding her global and Asia Pacific leaders George Michaelides, Global Leader of Invention, Mindshare Worldwide; Barry Cupples, Chief Executive Officer Asia Pacific, OMD; Cheuk Chiang, Chief Executive Officer Asia Pacific, PHD; James Greet, Chief Executive Officer, Mindshare, Australia; Nandini Dias, Chief Operating Officer, Lodestar UM, India; Keiichi
Higuchi, Communication Design Director, Dentsu, Japan; and Alistair Jamison, Chief Executive Officer, Starcom, New Zealand. 

Last but not least is Eugene Cheong, Regional Executive Creative Director of Ogilvy & Mather APAC, who heads the Radio Lions jury. Jay Furby, Creative Director, Jay Grey, Australia; Nitesh Tiwari, Executive Creative Director, Leo Burnett, India; and Simon Vicars, Copywriter, DDB New Zealand join Cheong from Asia Pacific.

All entries will be judged and awarded during the Festival in Cannes with the Media and Radio Lions winners being announced at the awards ceremony on Tuesday, June 21, Cyber Lions on Wednesday, June 22, and the Film Craft winners on Saturday, June 25.
