SINGAPORE – Following Network of the Year Dentsu Inc., Leo Burnett is the second most awarded creative network at AdFest 2014 that took place in Pattaya, Thailand last week. With a total of over 70 finalists by 13 Leo Burnett offices, the network converted 37 of them into awards including 1 Grande Lotus, 1 Innova Lotus, 3 Lotus Roots, 2 Gold Lotus, 17 Silver Lotus and 13 Bronze Lotus. A total of ten offices across Sydney, Bangkok, Colombo, Tokyo, Jakarta, Manila, Hong Kong, Taipei, Cairo and Istanbul contributed to this achievement.

This year, Leo Burnett is not only the most awarded agency from Australia at AdFest, it is also the second most awarded agency across the region. The highly-awarded Small World Machine campaign by the agency also resulted in Coca Cola being awarded with the prestigious ‘Advertiser of the Year’ award at the same show.

Shahir Zag, Outdoor Jury President, said the campaign was the most emotional piece they had seen this year.  “We keep talking about cocreation with other fields, with consumers, I think the real joy and the real meaning of this idea only happens when a Pakistani stands for the first time in front of an Indian, brought to you by this little bit of technology. I think that is so important. We keep talking about consumer behavior, but what if we could impact culture. So it’s just wonderful in every respect,” Zag said at the Jury Crossfire session on March 8.

Winning a Lotus Roots and a Gold Lotus award each, Leo Burnett Sri Lanka created another new milestone by winning the first ever Gold award at a creative awards show by an agency from Sri Lanka.

Jarek Ziebinski, President, Leo Burnett Asia Pacific, said, “The results which we achieved at ADFEST 2014 has been truly remarkable and inspiring. Each office in the region proved once again that it is not a myth that great creativity brings great results for clients but it also brings great business and accolades for the agency. The work from Leo Burnett offices across the region saw  itself win for seven different clients including major clients such as Coca-Cola, P&G, Diageo, McDonald’s and JAL.”  Ziebinski, further added, “Two offices who call for a special mention is Leo Burnett Sydney, named as the most awarded Australian agency and the second most awarded agency at ADFEST and Leo Burnett Sri Lanka who has yet again raised the bar higher not just for the agency, but also for Sri Lanka.  Thank you to every office for their continuous passion, drive, teamwork and creative talent that places us as one of the best agencies in the world. ”

Founded in 1988, ADFEST is an annual advertising festival celebrating and raising the standard of creativity.
