Hongkong – Leo Burnett Asia Pacific has named Michaela Lyon as the Global Brand Agency Leader for Procter & Gamble haircare brand, Rejoice.

To be based out of Leo Burnett Hong Kong, Lyon was head of account management and group account director at New York-based ad agency Strawberryfrog, where  she was responsible for the global re-launch of Jim Beam.

The integrated campaign “Make History” successfully reintroduced Jim Beam to millennial guys globally and led to not only the highest-scoring creative ever tested by Beam Inc, but also double-digit increase in volume sales.

She brings to the table over 10 years of experience in the marketing industry leading and working on various global businesses for brands including Jim Beam, FedEx, Stayfree (Johnson & Johnson), Pantene and Zest (P&G).

”In recognition of the importance of the China market for the Rejoice brand, consolidating the brand leadership role in Hong Kong is a strategic call to ensure our team’s proximity to marketing opportunities on ground,” said Jarek Ziebinski, chairman and CEO of Leo Burnett Asia Pacific.

“This, coupled with the strength of our team‘s work for the brand out of Hong Kong, will ensure that we have our A- team in the right place to maximise the potential of the Rejoice brand in China and globally,” he adds.
