FRANCE – The International Festival of Creativity opens today with Lions Health, the 2-day global creative festival for the healthcare communications industry.

Now on its second year, the Lions Health Awards aim to recognize and award the year’s most outstanding and creative ideas that help transform lives.

The Lions Health Awards is divided into two sections: Pharma and Health & Wellness.

Health & Wellness section include campaigns for consumer products such as OTC oral medicines, OTC applications, OTC products/devices, nutraceuticals; education & services including awareness, clinics, hospitals, retail & facilities, insurance, fundraising & advocacy; animal health; and non-pharma corporate image & communication.

Pharma section include communications to both healthcare professionals and non-healthcare professionals promoting drugs, vaccines & biotech, devices & diagnostics, veterinary, Pharma education & services and business to business.

In 2014, Lions Health Awards received over 1,400 entries and awarded 66 winners. Dentsu Nagoya’s campaign, ‘Mother Book’ for Kishokai Medical Corporation won the Health & Wellness Grand Prix.

While Leo Burnett Colombia’s ‘CancerTweets’ campaign for League Against Cancer – Bogota won the Grand Prix for Good.

This year, Lions Health, in association with UNICEF and Unilever introduced the Young Lions Health Award which aims to discover and hone the next generation of young talent in creative healthcare communications.
