BANGKOK – Lowe Bangkok’s award-winning team from the Philippines, Katrina Encanto and EJ Galang, will be leaving for DLKW Lowe in London, according to sources.
The pair relocated to Lowe Bangkok as regional associate creative directors in early 2012, going on to score double Cannes Lion Golds and triple Spikes Golds the following year with a print campaign for Unilever’s Sunlight brand.
The print series featured striking images of a pig, lamb and a cow tightly embracing kitchen implements, while the Sunlight bottle positioned in the right corner offered the solution to ‘Separate Them’ – stubborn stains from kitchenware.
“What we had was an opportunity and an uncompromising creative leader (chief creative officer Eric Yeo) who was willing to take risks and produce the work; I am sure, given similar circumstances, anyone could be as lucky,” said Galang of their collaboration in their development of the multi-awarded campaign.
In earlier interviews with adobo, both spoke of their belief in creativity’s transformative force and their highly contrasting work styles. “In the words of a senior who has worked with us on several projects, EJ is creative and spontaneous, while I tend to be strategic and deliberate,” said Encanto.
DLKW Lowe is the agency behind Persil’s multi-awarded ‘Dirt is Good’ campaign, pushing the benefits of messy playtime for kids. DLKW and Lowe Open picked up a joint Silver Euro Effie for ‘Dirt is Good – For Whatever Life Throws’ campaign.
