Mad Stars invites young creatives to apply for New Stars and Young Stars program until June 07

BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA — MAD STARS, the renowned global marketing and advertising festival, has announced that it is recruiting participants for its creative competitions, which are aimed at young and talented individuals.

The festival is inviting junior creatives to apply for its New Stars program, while university students can apply for its Young Stars program. After being held online for the past three years due to Covid-19 restrictions, the competitions will finally take place offline.

These competitions are an opportunity for young creatives to travel to South Korea to learn about the craft of advertising from top-notch C-level experts in the advertising and marketing industry from around the world. It’s also a chance to experience first-hand the technology and trends that are emerging and influencing the world.

The programs will run over four nights, from August 22 to 25 in Busan, a vibrant beachside city that is one of Asia’s most creative hubs. Submissions will close on June 07, 2023.

The New Stars MAD Competition is open to all junior creatives with less than five years of professional experience in Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, and AD Technology. The Young Stars MAD Competition is the world’s first advertising competition for college students. Participants must complete online registration to take part in the programs.

 

In the final round, 60 teams of university students and 40 teams of junior advertising professionals will have to submit innovative solutions in video or print format for the given topics within a 30-hour time limit. Panels of global advertising and marketing experts will judge each program.

Why should you apply?

Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Crystal winners of these competitions will be publicized globally.

Meanwhile, Young Stars winners will have the chance to have an internship with a top global agency. Participating agencies in the Young Stars internship program include Cheil Worldwide, Havas, and Serviceplan, with more to be announced soon.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for the Young Stars MAD competition, participants must have no more than five years of professional experience in marketing, PR, and advertising. The competition is open to individuals and teams of up to two people.

Eligibility for the Young Stars MAD competition is limited to students who are currently enrolled in junior college or higher, as well as university students, graduate students pursuing a master’s degree, and students on leave. However, those who have obtained a PhD are not eligible to compete. Participants may enter as individuals or in teams of up to two people.
