KUALA LUMPUR – Lowe Malaysia has been selected as the strategic brand building partner and marketer for Telekom Malaysia Berhad’s (TM) education arms, Multimedia University (MMU) and Multimedia College (MMC). Lowe’s duties, which cover all education brand portfolios of MMU and MMC, start with immediate effect.
The achievement follows Lowe’s recent appointment as the lead agency for TM’s consumer and SME market segments.
Commenting on the win, Mazuin Zin, Managing Director, Lowe Malaysia said, “How often do we get a chance to be part of something that is so transformational in nature? MMU and MMC have been discreetly transforming the tertiary education sector for the longest time, touching our lives with their innovations. We at Lowe are extremely proud to be part of this journey.”
Rupen Desai, Regional President, Lowe Asia Pacific adds: “This win certainly reaffirms Lowe Malaysia’s ability to deliver for clients across multiple business categories. It is an honour to continue winning business with TM, the nation’s leading integrated telecommunications service provider.”
TM has established MMU and MMC to capitalise on and fortify Malaysia’s standing in the growing global ICT sector through education, and help position the country as an ongoing innovation hub for technology, creativity and communications in the region.
Among forthcoming developments at MMU is a proposed new campus in Educity Nusajaya, offering a Cinematics Arts Degree programme in collaboration with the School of Cinematic Arts, University of Southern California (USC). In 2013, MMU continued to be ranked the Top Private University in Malaysia by QS Asia University Rankings. Earlier this year, it was ranked in the Top 200 by QS World University Rankings by Subject for Computer Science and Information Systems for the first time.
