NEW YORK – After a multi-agency digital pitch, J. Walter Thompson has been named agency of record for Lux’s global digital strategy and content business.
The win is an evolution of J. Walter Thompson and Lux’s 91-year partnership, which began in 1925 when Lux first launched. Led globally from Singapore, Lux has appointed the J. Walter Thompson group to provide digital marketing services in addition to their existing responsibilities for all of Lux’s global advertising development.
“In this digital era, as J. Walter Thompson aims to move at the speed of culture, we are fortunate to have in Lux a client partner that believes in what we can accomplish with them in the digital landscape. It is an honor to build upon such a long-standing partnership. I can’t wait to see what’s to come,” said Tamara Ingram, J. Walter Thompson Company’s Chief Executive Officer.
An integrated team from J. Walter Thompson, Mirum, and Mutato will provide connected agency services to present the Lux brand in all channels.
“As all brand leaders know, successfully navigating the digital arena is critical to continued growth, and we’re happy to move ahead in the digital realm with J. Walter Thompson as our digital creative partner. It’s an exciting evolution of our long-standing relationship,” added Anne Radmacher, Global Brand VP at Lux.
Lux, known as Caress in the United States, is one of Unilever’s largest and longest-standing brands. It remains the world’s best-selling soap bar and is sold in more than 100 countries.
