MANILA - Judging for the 2018 Clio Awards have begun and representing the country is McCann Worldgroup Philippines Executive Creative Director Joe Dy.

As part of the Audio and Audio Technique Jury, Dy joins a panel of esteemed international experts in the highly specialized field.  Entries will range from traditional radio, to audio solutions and work for all digital audio platforms.

Under his guidance, McCann Worldgroup Philippines developed two of the most awarded radio campaigns in the local industry’s history–one for Fully Booked Bookstores and another for Nestlé Philippines Maggi. The campaigns picked up metals at the Clio Awards, Cannes Lions, the One Show, the New York Festivals, the AWARD Awards, AdFest, AdStars, Spikes Asia and the London International Awards.

Joe’s work has consistently earned metals at top international and local shows across all disciplines including Effectiveness, Film, Print, Radio, Outdoor, Digital, Direct Marketing, Media, Integrated and Design.

The Clio Awards exists to honor creativity in every form. One of the most esteemed international awards competition for the creative business, it celebrates work that moves consumers, makes icons of brands and defines a global industry.

Founded in 1959 to celebrate high achievement in advertising, the Clios annually and throughout the year recognize the work, the agencies and the talent -- across advertising, sports, fashion, music, entertainment, and health care -- that push boundaries and establish new precedent.

The Clios judging process is known for its democratic approach to recognizing creative excellence. Fewer than 20% of submissions, within a media type, survive the first two rounds, from which juries re-evaluate the work to determine Gold, Silver and Bronze statues along with the Shortlist. Less than 5% of all entries receive a statue, and less than 1% receive the coveted Gold Clio. Each jury also has the option of awarding the highest honor, the Grand Clio, to one truly exceptional piece of work in each media type from the chosen Gold statue winners.
