Two agencies from the Philippines have been shortlisted as Finalists at the 2018 APAC Effie Awards. McCann Worldgroup Philippines gained five finalist entries all for client Jollibee, while Dentsu Jayme Syfu claimed one shortlisted entry for Greenpeace Philippines.
McCann Worldgroup Philippines’ “Valentine’s Joy for the Heartbroken” which consists of the Kwentong Jollibee Valentine’s Day series released last year were named as finalists under:
Single Market – Products & Services Categories
– Restaurants sub-category
Single Market – Specialty Categories
– Asia Pacific Brands sub-category
– Seasonal Marketing sub-category
– Products sub-category
– Social Media Category sub-category
Meanwhile, Dentsu Jayme Syfu was sole finalist under the Single Market – Specialty Categories: Positive Change Environmental – Non-Profit sub-category for “Dead Whale”, a campaign conceptualized for Greenpeace Philippines in time for the ASEAN Summit in the Philippines last year.
This year’s awards show headed by Awards Chairman Charles Cadell of McCann Worldgroup turned out 157 entries from across the Asia-Pacific region.
The Effies is considered to be the gold standard of marketing effectiveness globally.
Winners of the 2018 competition will be announced at the Awards Gala to be held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Singapore on April 27, 2018.
