McCann Worldgroup promotes Jesse Lin to Vice Chairman of APAC and Chairman of MRM

SHANGHAI AND NEW YORK – Apart from serving as CEO of McCann Worldgroup in China, Jesse Lin has also been promoted to Vice Chairman of McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific and Chairman of MRM//McCann APAC.

“Jesse and his team in China have done a phenomenal job in building first-class creative and multidiscipline capabilities that have attracted both leading clients and top talent to our agency,” said Harris Diamond, Chairman and CEO of McCann Worldgroup.

In his expanded role, Lin will partner closely with Prasoon Joshi and Charles Cadell, Chairman and President of McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific respectively. He will also lead MRM//McCann in the region, working with MRM//McCann’s worldwide Chairman Bill Kolb and CEO Michael McLaren to drive accelerated growth by building on the strong foundation that already exists in key APAC markets including China, Thailand, Singapore, Japan and the Philippines.

Lin has over 20 years of marketing and communications experience in China. Before moving to McCann in 2012, he was the President of DDB Group China for over five years. He was also previously the Managing Director of Wieden + Kennedy Shanghai in 2005 and Group Account Director for Leo Burnett Group Hong Kong in 2003. His experience also includes having been an art director and a dot.com entrepreneur.
