MediaCom, Mindshare and PHD lead tight race in Festival of Media APAC Awards 2017 shortlist

SINGAPORE – The Festival of Media APAC Awards, a celebration of the very best in media thinking from the Asia Pacific region, today announces the highly-anticipated 2017 shortlist – which can be viewed in full on http://awards.festivalofmedia.com/asia/.

MediaCom is the leading network on the shortlist, with 25 shortlisted entries, closely followed by Mindshare with 23 nominations and PHD with 20.

From a country perspective, Australia once again proves the consistent quality of its work and maintains the lead position in the Awards’ shortlist with 36 entries. India follows in the runners-up spot, with 33 entries, and China takes third place with 26 entries.

Stand-out agencies include MediaCom India, with an impressive 12 shortlisted entries, while its New Zealand office is in the running with seven entries. Mindshare China counts eight entries on the shortlist, and Mindshare India follows closely behind with seven entries. PHD China completes the top five with seven shortlisted entries.

Other independent agencies present on the prestigious shortlist include companies such as Chaos Media, Atomic 212 and Madison Media.

The top campaign spots go to MediaCom India’s ‘Ariel Dads Share the Load – Men for Laundry!’ for Procter & Gamble, ‘Lucy the Robot’ by Atomic 212, and PHD China’s ‘Cornetto Love Notes’ campaign for Unilever, with each being shortlisted in six categories. 

A jury of more than 60 industry leaders from media agency networks and independents, clients and digital specialists will spent weeks reviewing and scoring submitted campaigns in this first stage of judging.

The winners will be decided by the Festival of Media APAC Awards final jury meeting in Singapore. Members of the authoritative jury for this year’s awards include:

  • Silke Miksche, Marketing Director, AUDI
  • Sandy Ma, Media Director for Greater China, GSK

The winners will be announced at the Festival of Media APAC Awards show at the Hotel PARKROYAL on Pickering in Singapore on the Wednesday 22 March 2017.
