This is Director Mikhail Red’s second time to take part in the Tokyo International Film Festival. His debut film ‘Rekorder’ was in the festival’s Asian Future section three years ago.  This exceeds the young director’s dream as a wide-eyed 18-year old when he first attended the festival in 2009. At that time, he merely tagged along with his father, acclaimed director, Raymond Red, who was competing with his film ‘Himpapawid’.

Director Mikhail Red informed adobo, that the film’s local theatrical release is set in March 2017. ‘Birdshot’ is a Philippine-Qatar co-production supported by the Doha Film Institute, CJ Entertainment, Asian Project Market and Produire au Sud.
