New Business: Nestlé Philippines Inc. Names GroupM as Media Agency of Record for Media Strategic Planning and Buying

Nestlé Philippines, Inc. announced today the appointment of GroupM Philippines as its new Media Agency of Record starting 1st of January 2020. The selection of Media AOR is for media strategic planning & buying covering both broadcast media as well as digital media. The provisional appointment covers all the brands of Nestlé Philippines, Inc. as well as its affiliates including Wyeth Philippines.

“The decision to award the business to GroupM was based on a strong combination of factors including strategic planning, digital communications including e-business, programmatic & performance marketing, media buying efficiencies and leadership strength. With GroupM, we believe we have chosen a future fit partner that will will strengthen both our traditional and digital media capability,” stated Paolo Mercado, Nestlé Philippines’ Head of Marketing, Communication & Innovation.

Consistent with industry best practice to periodically review the offerings of media agencies, Nestlé conducted the media pitch in the third quarter of 2019. Nestlé’s globally-aligned media networks were invited to the pitch, including previous incumbent agency Zenith Media from Publicis Group, IPG Mediabrands, and Dentsu Aegis Network.

The appointment of GroupM Philippines will be subject to finalization of contract terms that will happen in the coming weeks.
