SHANGHAI, CHINA – Tencent, the authorized distributor of Nintendo Switch™ (China-exclusive version) in Mainland China has named TBWA Shanghai creative partner for its marketing campaigns after a competitive pitch. The agency’s scope includes strategic and creative services including the development of integrated and e-commerce campaign content.
According to China’s Gaming Industry Report 2019, China has exceeded the United States to become the top gaming market in the world. Tencent, the leading video gaming company globally, introduced Nintendo Switch™ to China providing Chinese users with more anytime, anywhere fun, where multiple people can play together.

This is TBWA’s second business win in the gaming category in China this year, following closely on the heels of the recent win as creative partner for China for Riot Games, League of Legends World Championships 2020 which will be hosted in Shanghai later this year.
