LONDON – Nexus continues to expand its senior team with the appointment of executive producer Jeremy Smith. Following the recent appointment of Judy Hill, executive producer in charge of new business, Nexus continues to hire at a senior level to support the recent growth of the business and its ambitions, whilst maintaining the quality of creative work the company is known for.
Smith is one of the most recognizable names in the production industry; his previous roles span some of the best known companies in the creative sector including BBH, Blink, Furlined and MPC Creative, giving him a unique in-depth understanding of all facets of production, from live action, to animation to VFX.
“Our ambition at Nexus is not just to deliver excellent work in isolation, but to work alongside our clients to develop a creative idea, and continue to evolve the concept so that it upholds brand objectives and engages the audience at all levels,” said Nexus co-founder Chris O’ Reilly.
“Jeremy is one of the few people in the industry who can empathise, understand and support all elements of production, on agency-side and internally, without compromising on quality or creative ambition. He is an excellent addition to our senior team,” O’Reilly said.
Smith added, “I’m delighted to join Nexus, it’s a very special company that’s respected worldwide not only for delivering brilliant creative projects, from commercials to interactive installations, but also for being continuously innovative with its use of technology. To join a company that can do all of this, win the Cannes Grand Prix on two separate occasions whilst still being commercially savvy, is a great opportunity.”
In his role as executive producer, Smith will work closely with founders Chris O’Reilly and Charlotte Bavasso, and Managing Director James Tomkinson, as well as with the senior executive team.
