ASIA-PACIFIC-KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA,APRIL 2011 – The Corporate Coach Academy (CCA), the Malaysian Association of Certified Coaches (MACC) and media agency network Omnicom Media Group unveiled the first-ever handbook for the Malaysian coaching industry – Coaching Standards.
Coaching Standards aims to set the benchmarks for the coaching industry, guide coaches and coach aspirants on the path to coaching excellence, and enable the sharing of best practices. It also aims to educate the public to be more discerning in their ability to differentiate well-trained coaches from untrained ones.
“At PHD and OMD, we believe in putting people first above everything else and we are relentless in our efforts in engaging, motivating and nurturing our staff to excel. The launch of Coaching Standards is about success, self actualization, and achieving outstanding results. As a group, we firmly believe in staying true to our 3Ps principle – People, Product and Profit (in that order). Sponsoring the first ever coaching standards handbook is in perfect sync with our motto of walking the talk”, said Andreas Vogiatzakis, managing director of Omnicom Media Group, Malaysia.
Dr Michael Heah, CEO of Corporate Coach Academy (CCA) and chairman of the Malaysian Association of Certified Coaches (MACC), said, “Coaching is an increasingly critical tool that is beneficial to both individuals and the company they belong to. With their people propelled to greatness through coaching, companies will forge ahead of others and accelerate better results.”
The handbook captures the essence of coaching in a little book – small but powerful, light, mobile and convenient that can be slipped into a pocket or a handbag. Coaching Standards is available free of cost, however individual and corporate donations will enable the printing of more books to reach people in every corner of Malaysia.
A second phase of implementation is planned where CCA, MACC, and Omnicom Media Group agencies OMD & PHD will extend the reach of this initiative to others parts of the region.
