MANILA – Outbrain, the world’s leading premium discovery platform, has announced the appointment of Flourx as its formal reseller in the Philippines. The move complements and enhances Outbrain’s existing portfolio in the country, which includes top-tier local premium publishers ABS-CBN, GMA News, Philippine Daily Inquirer and The Philippine Star.

Focused on reselling and supporting Outbrain’s digital media products and solutions – specifically Outbrain Native Ads and Content Discovery, Flourx will strengthen the platform’s foothold as the preferred discovery platform among brands and agencies in the Philippines. Flourx started operations in August 2018.

In recent years, the Philippines has emerged as a strong contributor to the overall share of advertising expenditure in Asia Pacific, driven by rising internet connectivity and increasing mobile penetration rates. Traditional media continues to draw the majority of ad outlays in the country1 , but this is set to evolve with brands eager to invest in technology and data to enhance their relationships with consumers.

Celine Veloso, Founder of Flourx, said, “As Outbrain’s official reseller, we see ourselves as an extension of the team, and are thrilled to help grow Outbrain in this market. We are now within arm’s reach for local agencies and brands looking to scale their campaigns to new audiences with greater confidence, and build a digital future that’s both performance and data-driven. Philippines presents a huge opportunity in that respect.”

Having started her career in the Philippines, Celine has held stints with telecommunications company Smart Communications, online gaming publisher IP E-Games, and mobile video advertising platform Vdopia, where she was hired as their first employee in the Philippines and helped launch their product in the market.

“Philippines is an economic bright spot among Asian markets, and there is immense value in working with local partners to ensure the delivery of accessible, customizable and flexible solutions that meet all business needs and content types,” said Andrew Burke, Managing Director of Outbrain, Asia Pacific. “The move to Philippines comes at an opportune time for Outbrain, especially with our recent launch of FOCUS (Click to Watch Videos) in the region, which enables deeper storytelling for Filipino users who are so inherently accustomed to sharing, streaming and consuming videos.”

Outbrain is also an active member of the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP), represented by Celine.
