NEW YORK – Pablo Walker, who has been President of McCann Worldgroup Latin America & Caribbean, has been promoted to President of McCann Worldgroup Europe. Fernando Fascioli, who has been CEO of McCann Worldgroup Chile, has been promoted to succeed Walker as President of McCann Worldgroup’s Latin America & Caribbean region.

Harris Diamond, Chairman and CEO, McCann Worldgroup, said, “As we look to Europe, the need for clients across the region to reach diverse populations economically and culturally will increase. Pablo’s track record is one of proven success in leveraging our global multiplatform capabilities to benefit our clients and their growth initiatives. His experience in leading our agencies to work collaboratively and fully leverage all of our disciplines will be relevant in Europe in helping to accelerate the new business momentum we’re now experiencing.”

Commenting on Fascioli’s promotion, Diamond said, “In recent years Fernando has driven the success of our Chilean operations.  During his tenure in leading Peru and then Chile he’s focused on integrating our businesses, improving our product and driving growth. He has an understanding of the entire Latin American and Caribbean region and a solid track record in engaging with clients and growing their brands.”

In his more than two decades with McCann, Walker has proven his ability time and again to forge powerful relationships with clients as well as to effectively incorporate a variety of marketing disciplines into creating solutions for clients. From his days leading the Chilean business to today, Walker has driven McCann Worldgroup agencies to success by expanding their range of capabilities and building a culture based on collaboration and results. The region’s focus on creativity this year led to McCann Lima and its Coca-Cola client winning the Grand Prix in the media category at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

Luca Lindner, President, McCann Worldgroup, said, “I have seen Pablo successively take on more and more responsibility and each time rise to the task. He has done this when he added more countries to his portfolio and when he expanded Latin America’s digital and marketing discipline capabilities. Similarly, Fernando has established through his leadership in Lima and Santiago that he is ready to take on this larger Worldgroup role. He is already familiar with all of our agencies, capabilities, managers and clients in the region.”

Walker, commenting on his new role, said, “As a member of McCann’s management team, I have long admired the strength and quality of our European network. I look forward to continuing to strengthen our capabilities and creative product and our ability to work collaboratively across Europe. With Fernando’s promotion, I leave Latin America and the Caribbean in strong leadership hands.”

Fascioli, who began his career in his native Uruguay, has also progressively taken on larger roles within McCann. He worked for many years at McCann Peru and became CEO, and then took on additional responsibility as the region’s Chief Growth Officer. During his tenure, McCann Lima was named “Agency of the Year” after a turnaround built on discipline integration and new business growth. In the last few years since becoming CEO of McCann Worldgroup Chile, he has led the continued growth of the agency, including expanding its integrated digital capabilities.

Fascioli, commenting on his new role, said, “Under Luca Lindner’s and then Pablo’s leadership, the Latin American and Caribbean region has successfully transformed over the last decade to meet the strategic and creative demands of today’s digital and multiplatform communications world. In my roles in Chile and Peru and as the region’s chief growth officer, I have had the opportunity to work over many years with our great team of country and discipline managers, and am committed to our region’s continued success.”
