SINGAPORE – OMD has elevated Gavin Gibson to the role of Chief Strategy Officer for Asia Pacific. Previously the National Chief Strategy Officer for OMD Australia, Gibson will join the OMD regional team in Singapore and oversee the continued development of the network’s product in line with evolving consumer behaviours and client requirements.
Reporting to OMD APAC CEO, Stephen Li, Gibson will also be tasked with maintaining a consistent OMD product across the network’s offices in 16 APAC markets, as well as the implementation of strategy best practices. Having led the strategy product for Australia since 2017, Gibson’s efforts have contributed to the agency’s success in new business and organic growth performance, which resulted in OMD topping Australia’s COMvergence rankings for billings and market share in 2018. He has also contributed to the Global team’s updates to the network’s offering, as well as its new ‘Better decisions, faster’ positioning.

Succeeding Gibson at OMD Australia as the agency’s National Chief Strategy Officer is Ian Czencz, who brings over 21 years of experience in Australia’s media industry and will be commencing his new role on July 1.
