SINGAPORE –  Reprise, the performance marketing agency of IPG Mediabrands, today announced that it has promoted Dimitri Maex to Global Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Maex previously held the role of Global Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, he assumes full responsibility for the company’s financial performance, as well as continuously improving its capabilities inclusive of digital, search, social, mobile and e-commerce solutions in support of IPG Mediabrands agencies UM and Initiative. Maex, will report to IPG Mediabrands Global CEO Daryl Lee.

Maex is charged with accelerating the evolution of Reprise which takes its beginnings as a pioneer in search, SEO and SEM tactics. Last year, the company re-launched as an integrated digital media offering, rolling its sister agencies Society (social media marketing) and Ansible (mobile marketing) under its banner. In doing so, Reprise now offers clients end-to-end capabilities from integrated performance marketing strategy, search, social and mobile media activation and content creation through to e-commerce and in-store conversion capabilities. The agency works closely with UM and Initiative to integrate digital marketing services seamlessly into bespoke solutions designed for each client’s specific needs.

“I am excited Dimitri will be taking leadership of Reprise globally,” said Lee. “Dimitri’s breadth of experience makes him uniquely understand the future evolution of performance marketing as it powers an increasing share of client spend. He is also great to work with and will be a strong collaborator with UM and Initiative to the ultimate benefit of our clients.”

Having joined the company as Global Chief Operating Officer, Maex’s prior experience includes a number of leadership roles – most recently Global President and Chief Revenue Officer of mobile data start-up Sentiance. While there, he launched and managed the agency’s first US-based office. Prior to Sentiance, he served as President of OgilvyOne where he oversaw both the consulting and analytics divisions during his successful tenure with Ogilvy Worldwide, working with clients such as IBM, American Express and Unilever.

“I am excited to be joining Reprise as performance marketing expands across all media and becomes a powerful driver of growth for clients.” said Maex. “I am looking forward to making Reprise a leader in the performance space. I am also happy to be working with Daryl again as we share a similar view of how we will grow Reprise’s capabilities to reflect the needs of our clients.”

Maex’s appointment marks the latest in a string of executive appointments by Daryl Lee, who was named Global CEO of IPG Mediabrands in September after a successful run as UM’s Global CEO. Since taking on his new role, Lee has named Eileen Kiernan as his successor at UM, Guy Beach to the post of Global Chief Financial Officer and Chris Jones as IPG Mediabrands Chief Communications Officer.
