Global video technology company Shootsta has signed on global video influencer String Nguyen as a brand ambassador, as it looks to empower influencers with a time and cost-effective means of producing video content for their channels.
The appointment comes as Shootsta readies for its next stage of growth, pushing the boundaries with how brands can leverage video content. Since launching in 2015, Shootsta has grown to employ 70 staff across five international offices. The company retains over 150 clients, including: Samsung, Qantas, Coles, BHP and VISA.
In her role, Nguyen will promote Shootsta services to other influencers and work with them to scale their video content. Nguyen will also act as an advisor to the Shootsta Community, hold exclusive workshops on leveraging video for social media, and promote the brand across her own content channels.
“The social video sector is changing rapidly. For instance, setting up a channel and promoting video over LinkedIn is a completely different process today than what it was just two years ago,” Nguyen said.
“The appetite for social video has been amazing, especially on LinkedIn. More brands and companies are using videos to amplify their messages to stand out.”
“Working with Shootsta, I’m keen to educate both brands and influencers on the nuances of social video and help them get the most out of their content.”
Out of 10 million Australian users on LinkedIn, Nguyen is a top 25 video creator.
She was one of the first to launch a video channel on LinkedIn and grew its reach to over 30,000 followers in under 14 months. Nguyen was recognised as a LinkedIn ‘Top Voice’ in 2017 and 2018.
As part of her channel, Nguyen has interviewed over 500 entrepreneurs and influencers including Gary Vaynerchuk, Holly Liu (Kabam) and Hugh Forrest (SXSW).
“String was the first in Australia to champion the power of video on LinkedIn. Like us, she’s a pioneer and a natural fit as an ambassador for Shootsta,” Daniel Chiha, General Manager of Shootsta said.
“Where once some clients used Shootsta to film internal-only videos, we’re now seeing many progress on to shooting their own video content for social media channels.
“We’re looking forward to working closely with String to find new ways to help brands tell stories, and bolster the insights we can offer clients on new trends emerging in the social video space.”
