BEIJING and SHANGHAI – This year’s Portfolio Night, hosted by Ogilvy & Mather China (“O&M”) in Beijing and Shanghai, saw 41 of China’s top creative directors from the world’s best agencies including O&M, JWT, Saatchi & Saatchi and more (full list below) convene to review the creative advertising portfolios of more than 150 aspiring creatives.
At the end of the night, O&M offered paid internships and jobs to the best participants at the Beijing and Shanghai events. The newcomers will work in O&M’s creative departments.

In addition, each city nominated their most impressive candidate to fly to New York in August to participate in the Portfolio Night All-Stars competition. After a weeklong discussion, the panel of creative judges in China nominated 26-year-old copywriter Kamph Kvang in Beijing and 23-year-old copywriter Sony Chang in Shanghai as China’s Portfolio Night All-Stars. They will join 22 other candidates in New York to collaborate on a week-long creative challenge for a real world brief.

Portfolio Night, founded by IHAVEANIDEA and presented by ADC, is the world’s largest simultaneous advertising creative portfolio review. Young designers, copywriters, technologists, illustrators and more participate to receive professional counseling from the industry’s top creative directors in China.
This year marks the fifth time in six years that O&M hosted the event in mainland China.
