Powney, previously the Head of Digital at PSONA, will develop Quiet Storm’s digital offer and deliver major digital projects for clients. Dale, who joins from St Luke’s where he was a Business Director, will take responsibility for the agency’s Young’s Seafood and Vimto accounts. Both Powney and Dale will report to Tanya Faulkner, the Client Services Director.

Quinn has spent the previous two years at adam&eveDDB, working on high profile campaigns for Harvey Nichols, Google, and The Telegraph’s ‘Words are Powerful’ TV ad. During his time at the agency, he won a Campaign Big Silver and a D&AD Pencil for the Harvey Nichols ‘Bo Gilbert’ ad.

Before joining adam&eveDDB, Quinn was a Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi where he helped the agency win new briefs from HSBC, Toyota, Visa, and the European Tour, which resulted in a campaign featuring Rory McIlroy playing golf against a robot. He has also worked at AMV BBDO on Pepsi, BT, The Economist and Volvo; Leo Burnett on McDonald’s, Heinz, and Kellogg; and J. Walter Thompson, as a Creative Director on Nestlé, HSBC, Shell, Smirnoff, Baxters, MTV, and Vodafone. His awards include Silver, Graphite, and Wood D&AD Pencils, BTAA Arrows, Cannes Lions, and Creative Circle Golds.

Powney, who in addition to PSONA has also worked at FullSIX, John Brown, and Amaze, has experience of digital, CRM, and retail activity for brands including RBS/NatWest, American Express, Nationwide, Johnson & Johnson, and The Balvenie.

During his time at St Luke’s, Dale ran the Very.co.ukLittlewoods.com, and Majestic Wine accounts. He has also worked in junior account roles at AMV BBDO and Bartle Bogle Hegarty.

Trevor Robinson OBE, Founder and Executive Creative Director at Quiet Storm said about Laurence Quinn’s appointment: “This is a great hire for Quiet Storm at a pivotal time for the agency.  Whenever we’ve had new, talented people join us it has always pushed everyone else at the company, myself included. I see Laurence doing exactly that. He’s a hungry, award-winning creative who I’m sure will help us deliver creative excellence.  I for one am really looking forward to the new briefs that Laurence will be able to shine a light on.”

Laurence Quinn said: “Quiet Storm has great brands, a great team, led by an industry great. Smaller, nimble agencies are able to adapt to the current advertising landscape, so if we can deliver great creative and effective work, efficiently, we’ll be storming.”

Rania Robinson, Managing Director of Quiet Storm, said of Scott Powney’s appointment: “As the business focuses on a more strategic outlook, one in which digital sits at the heart, we felt it essential to hire a proven digital talent to help action this vision. Scott has such a wide repertoire of experience in creating and delivering digital solutions, multi-sector and internationally, and so he felt like the perfect fit.”

Scott Powney said: “I’m really excited to be joining Quiet Storm at this pivotal time in the agency’s growth and expansion into digital. I’m looking forward to applying my strategic and customer experience knowledge to the growing client base, and I will be working on creating a digital road map for Quiet Storm and all of our clients.
