Robert Doswell named CEO McCann Singapore

SINGAPORE – Robert Doswell, Asia Pacific’s regional managing director of Craft has been named chief executive officer, McCann Singapore, effective August 1, in addition to his current responsibilities with Craft. Doswell takes over responsibilities from Benjamin Lightfoot who served as CEO for three years.
 
Doswell joined McCann Worldgroup in April 2012 to launch, integrate and lead Craft across the Asia Pacific region. Today Craft operates across 8 markets with a team of almost 200 people in Asia Pacific. Clients include OCBC, Maxis and L’Oreal.
 
Said Charles Cadell on Rob’s appointment: “Rob has over 13 years in the Lion City. He’s an effective business leader, with a true entrepreneurial spirit having run one of Singapore’s most innovative and awarded creative engines, to building MWG’s influential creative production service, Craft, as its regional managing director.

Prior to joining McCann, Doswell was vice president of Ogilvy’s integrated creative and production company, Ogilvy RedWorks and managing director of the Singapore RedWorks operation. He joined Ogilvy Advertising Singapore in 2001, moved to the boutique start up, Ogilvy RedCard, in 2002 and was made general manager and subsequently, managing director of Ogilvy RedCard (Ogilvy’s famed innovative creative agency) in 2006/7. Throughout his career he has delivered award winning creative campaigns across the world for clients such as The Economist, Nike, Motorola, JetStar Asia, Unilever, BBC World, Resorts World Sentosa, CIMB, Tiffany&Co and Gillette.
