BEIJING – Ogilvy & Mather announced on Monday, the promotion of Ogilvy Public Relations Beijing co-managing director Selina Teng to President of Ogilvy & Mather Group Beijing.
Apart from joining O&M China’s executive committee, Teng will be tasked to oversee the day-to-day business of O&M Group in Beijing.
“It’s thrilling for me to take on this new role, where I will continue to expand my scope beyond Public Relations and help Ogilvy & Mather Group Beijing carry on reaching new milestones. The past 16 years with O&M have been filled with exciting projects and growth. They are truly a family and this position will help me give back to a community and company that have invested so much in me,” says Teng.
Teng is a true blue native–of Beijing and of Ogilvy & Mather. Being in the agency for 16 years, Teng is the agency’s very first home-grown office head according to Chris Reitermann, CEO of Ogilvy & Mather China. She has led O&M’s largest clients in China and has established and managed a strong technology and automotive practice for the agency.
She is also known for her “people first” attitude. She invests in her growing team by training, maintaining and developing them into a group of PR experts.
“In addition to her strong client focus, what impresses me most about Selina is the care, coaching and patience she puts into growing talent. David Ogilvy once said that our offices must always be headed by the kind of people who command respect – Selina is definitely one of them,” comments Reitermann.
