SINGAPORE – Grey Group Singapore unveils a campaign to seek and reward inspiring everyday heroes who have put aside the pursuit of personal fun and enjoyment to bring joy to the lives of others. In a new campaign called “The Fun Movement”, Sentosa invites residents of Singapore to nominate people who most deserve to take a break.
From May 27, residents in Singapore can nominate their personal heroes by logging on to Sentosa’s website or by visiting one of the Fun Movement’s nomination booths located in Nex Mall and Temasek Polytechnic. Each entry allows members of the public to nominate anyone who they think deserves to take some time off to enjoy themselves.
Five winning entries with the highest number of public votes will be rewarded with a specially-tailored surprise day of fun in Sentosa, packed with personalised activities and experiences.
“The Fun Movement aims to get people to think about the unsung heroes in our lives, the selfless people who have given up so much of their time in order to let others pursue their goals. We want to give these heroes the fun they deserve, and a reminder that their sacrifices did not go unnoticed,” said Grey Group Singapore’s Chief Creative Officer Ali Shabaz.
Sentosa will select and feature 20 of the most inspiring stories on www.sentosa.com/funmovement from 3 July. The public can vote for the top five winners, who will then be taken on a surprise day out in Sentosa.
The Fun Movement was launched with the release of two heart-warming videos; Hui Chee Wan, 51, a hardworking cab driver who has done his best to provide for his family and Indra S.M. Theva, 41, a dedicated nurse who gives her best for her patients and her family, were each secretly swept away for a specially-tailored day out in Sentosa where they were joined by family and friends.
“This initiative to strengthen Sentosa’s connection with Singaporeans also ties in with our island resort’s SG50 celebrations. We hope to recognise the dedication and spirit of everyday Singaporeans who, in their own ways, have contributed to the growth and development of Singapore,” said Susan Ang, Divisional Director of Sentosa Development Corporation’s Island Investment and Branding team.
