SINGAPORE – Open to both established and aspiring filmmakers, the Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) is calling for submissions from all over the world.
Founded in 1987 by Geoffrey Malone and L. Leland Whitney, SGIFF is the largest and longest-running film event in Singapore. It aims to provide a global platform for international films and showcase these to an audience of local and international film enthusiasts.
It’s free to join the festival. The film must have been completed no earlier than January 1, 2014 and must not have been broadcasted on TV, made available on the internet or screened in Singapore in any way prior to the festival.
SGIFF is accepting feature films, defined as a work of fiction or non-fiction that runs or exceeds 60 minutes in length including opening and end credits; and short films, defined as a work of fiction or non-fiction that is 30 minutes or less in length including opening and end credits.
The deadline for submission of entries is on August 21, 6pm (GMT +8).
