Spencer Wong, CEO and Chief Creative Officer of McCann & Spencer, has resigned his post according to McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific. He will stay in the role up to August of this year.
The announcement comes as McCann Worldgroup restructures its Hong Kong operations. McCann & Spencer will be reincorporated back into McCann Worldgroup Hong Kong.
Wong entered McCann Hong Kong in 2006 as executive creative director for Greater China and was consequently promoted to managing director of the Hong Kong office. He spent 12 years in the agency.
In a statement, McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific President Charles Cadell said, “we thank Spencer for his long and loyal service to the company. During his time with McCann, he contributed greatly to our clients’ business success and provided a level of creative quality unparalleled in Hong Kong. We wish him all the best in the next stage of his career.”
