Spikes Asia 2018: TBWASantiago Mangada Puno wins Golds, McCann Manila, GIGIL, ASPAC-DAN, BBDO Guerrero also Spikes winners

SINGAPORE — TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno (TBWA\SMP) was once again a big winner at the 2018 Spikes Asia awards, claiming two Golds, two Silvers, and two Bronzes for a total of six Spikes metals. McCann Manila, GIGIL, ASPAC-DAN and BBDO Guerrero were also Spikes winners. 

The agency claimed two Golds under Music and Film Craft for “Disgusting Stories”, a campaign against child abuse and harassment, for Bahay Tuluyan. It also won Silver in Digital. 

TBWA\SMP also hauled in a Silver and Bronze under Outdoor and Design respectively for “This is a Tree” for client Boysen Paints. The “Love Thy Neighbor” campaign for Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas added to TBWA\SMP’s tally with a Bronze Spike.

Under the Healthcare category, McCann Manila won a Silver Spike for their “Ritemed Budget Epics – Knight of the Living Dead; Himalayan Showdown, The Great Sandstorm” campaign for generic drugs manufacturer Ritemed. Meanwhile, GIGIL also won a Bronze Spike for “Dr. Internet” for client Konsulta MD. 

ASPAC-DAN’s “Labels for Unsung Heroes” took home a Silver Spike in Design, while BBDO Guerrero snagged a Bronze Spike for “Wrong World Finals”, produced by the agency for Snickers/Mars Wrigley Confectionery. 

In the Young Spikes competition, Philippine representatives Xanti Gonzalez and Eboy Jose, both copywriters from Publicis JimenezBasic and ASPAC-DAN respectively, won the coveted Gold in Integrated.
