Spikes Asia 2019: Shortlists Released for the Digital, Digital Craft, Design, Creative eCommerce, and Brand Experience & Activation

SINGAPORE – Today, the first day of Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity, shortlists for 15 categories have been released. Five of the 15 categories are the Digital, Design, Creative ECommerce, Digital Craft, and Brand Experience & Activation.

Digital 

The Digital category celebrates creativity that is experienced digitally. These shortlisted entries have all demonstrated ingenious ideas that have been enhanced by the digital world.

Among those in the Digital Spikes shortlist came from the following countries: Japan, Australia, Thailand, South Korea, India, China, Singapore, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.

The most shortlisted campaign in the list is Hyundai The Quiet Taxi made by INNOCEAN WORLDWIDE Seoul for Hyundai Motor Group.

Design 

The Design Spikes category celebrates visual craftsmanship and the shortlisted campaigns for this all have unique visual identities. Among those in the Design Spikes shortlist came from the following countries: Japan, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India, China, Singapore, South Korea, Australia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Pakistan, Taipei, and the Philippines.

The campaigns that were shortlisted the most are: TBWA\Hakuhodo Inc. Tokyo’s Most Challenging Table.

BBDO Bangkok’s 7:1 Furniture Collection

Creative ECommerce

A new category for Spikes Asia, the Creative eCommerce award celebrates creative, commercial ecommerce, payment solutions, and innovation. The shortlisted entries for this category have demonstrated how innovation increased consumer engagement of the customer.

Among those in the Creative ECommerce Spikes shortlist came from the following countries: Japan, India, Australia, and China.

One notable campaign that was shortlisted is Hakuhodo Inc. Tokyo’s Vegi-bus, which was created for Vegibus Inc.

Digital Craft 

A category that celebrates technological artistry, the shortlisted entries of the Digital Craft have demonstrated exceptional form and function in the digital context.

Among those in the Digital Craft shortlist came from the following countries: South Korea, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Japan, Australia, Singapore, India, and the Philippines.

TBWA\Singapore’s City of Possibilities got the most entry spots in the list.

Brand Experience & Activation 

A category that celebrates creative, comprehensive brand-building through
the next level use of experience design, activation, immersive, retail and 360° customer
engagement, the shortlisted entries for Brand Experience & Activation have demonstrated  how the customer journey led to increased brand affinity and commercial success.

Among those in the Digital Craft shortlist came from the following countries: China, Japan, Australia, Thailand, South Korea, New Zealand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.

One of the most shortlisted campaign in the category is Dentsu Webchutney Bangalore’s Hagglebot, which was made for Flipkart.
