GLOBAL – On Christmas Eve, The Beatles gave the world the best holiday gift–their entire catalogue, from Please, Please Me to Let It Be, was finally made available for streaming anytime, anywhere–a big triumph for Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play and other online streaming companies since the handlers of the English rock band had been hesitant to release their music on streaming services, the NY Daily News reports.
After three days since the release, Daniel Ek, Spotify CEO, posted in the Spotify blog that listeners have already streamed the Beatles’ songs more than 70 million times with “Come Together” being the most streamed song. The Independent also reports that the iconic band’s albums have been added to over 673,000 playlists in just two days.
