Starcom and UM dominate the second iteration of Festival of Media North America Awards

Starcom and UM dominated the second iteration of Festival of Media North America Awards hosted at iHeartRadio in New York.

UM walked away with four category wins including Best Use of Talent and Best Integrated Campaign and the prestigious Grand Prix awards for Campaign of the Year with Dundee: The Son of a Legend Returns Home, and Agency for the Year.

For Starcom this is a wonderful turnaround as last year the agency network was unable to enter as part of a worldwide ban on entering awards across the entire Publicis group.

At the Festival of Media North America Awards the network scooped four wins for categories including Best Digital Platforms and Best Branded Content as well as the Grand Prix for Agency Network of the Year.

It was also a  good event for PHD who took home three trophies for categories including Best Launch Campaign and Best Use of Realtime Marketing.

The jury, which was led by Ann Mukherjee, global CMO, SC Johnson, were very impressed with the level of work that was shortlisted and set the bar very high for a campaign to walk away with a trophy.

She said: “Judging this year was so inspiring, the work was amazing and I am so proud of all of the winners. To future entries to the Festival of Media they have to remember they will be the tip of the spear, the best of the best and people will be learning from them.”
