TBWA\Manchester is set to launch its first campaign for Thorpe Park Resort, to communicate a new brand idea: ‘An Island Like No Other’.

In a bid to re-position the Park as a more ‘family friendly’ destination, the campaign aims to raise awareness of everything Thorpe Park Resort has to offer and to capture what makes it unlike anywhere else.

TBWA\Manchester set out to highlight that Thorpe Park Resort sits on its own unique island, detached from reality – an invitation to explore a world of exciting experiences.

To showcase the island as a bold, energetic and fun-packed destination, TBWA\Manchester worked alongside visual effects studio Hoxton Redsox, to create a hyper-real, animated CG island, that wraps the new 30” TV spot, which launched on May 14.

As part of the campaign, Thorpe Park Resort is also announcing their latest attraction, Angry Birds Land – opening May 24. The new land will feature the world’s first Angry Birds 4D experience, dodgems and re-branded Detonator drop-tower ride.

“With TBWA\Manchester we have created a more premium and aspirational positioning for Thorpe Park Resort. It is a unique destination that appeals to people of all ages, and the work truly brings that to life.” – Jason Wills, Marketing Director, Thorpe Park Resort

The campaign will be supported by a new website, radio and online activity. The new brand idea will be a key part of Thorpe Park Resort’s strategy to become the destination for family short breaks.
