MANILA – Team Manila splashed out their playful Spring/Summer 2016 collection last February 11, as they treated bloggers and members of the press to merienda cena at M Café. As guests busied themselves silkscreening designs on their tote bags, or perused the catalog, graphic artist/songstress Reese Lansangan serenaded the crowd with a cover or two of her favorite songs from Up Dharma Down and her own original compositions.
Exhorting intrepid travelers to “Breathe Adventure”—the collection boasts of a fresh design lineup of tops, caps, drawstring bags, wallets, and rucksacks for those unafraid to wear their love for the country on their sleeve—or any other body part for that matter.
Also recently relaunched: TM’s collection of cheeky chocolates, featuring groan-worthy puns for Valentine’s Day. Examples include: (for their cappuccino flavor) “Kape ka ba? Kasi di ako makatulog dahil sa ‘yo.”; (dark chocolate) “Bangin ka ba? Nahulog kasi ako sa iyo”; and (sili) “Apoy ka ba? Kasi alab you.”
