UNITED STATES – It’s the Oscars season, and the Academy just released its first spot that aired on ABC. I don’t know about you, but this spot gave us goosebumps.
The spot, executed by LA, featured clips from possibly the nominees for this year including The Martian, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Steve Jobs, Brooklyn and more. While the montage was playing, a God-like voice was speaking in the background, reminding us about our dreams–of falling in love, of galaxies far, far away, or of changing the world.
“We all dream in gold! LA is privileged to have collaborated with the Academy on their 2016 Oscars campaign,” said the creative agency in a tweet.
Only except for one night, the Oscars, where we, or the nominees all dream in gold–to take home the coveted golden Oscar statuette.
The Academy also released dramatic posters showing former Academy winners like Meryl Streep, Lupita Nyong’o and Jamie Foxx.
The 88th Academy Awards host, Chris Rock also stars in a quirky promotional video that shows us basically how he’s preparing for the big night.
The 2016 Oscars is showing on February 28 on ABC.
