During the 2014 FIFA World Cup, football-themed ads started sprouting from everywhere. One notable brand was instant ramen giant Nissin who released an ad with a football-playing samurai.
This armor-clad samurai is Japan’s Freestyle Football champion Kotaro Tokuda (Tokura). In the ad ‘Samurai in Brazil’, Tokura took the ball to the streets of Brazil, and showed off his freestyle football skills and left everyone in awe.
Just recently, Nissin released ‘Samurai in Manchester’ where Tokura once again showed his moves on the streets of the English city. This time, the samurai traded in his blue armor for a more appropriate color for the place. He also took on a group of ninjas around urban landscape and lead to a showdown in Old Trafford’s iconic pitch.
Where could this jet-setting samurai turn up next?
