CANADA — How do you feel about hiking, climbing, paddling, portaging and swimming across Canada as your job description, and secluded islands and beaches as your office? If the answer is a straight out “freakin’ yeah”, please continue reading.
Woods Canada is looking for two people who got what it takes to take on the ultimate dream job of being a Woods Explorer. The job responsibilities are fairly simple, you need to embark on an all-expense paid travel across Canada on the Trans Canada Trail (TCT). While you’re at it, you need to document your journey through compelling photos and videos. You also need to be a little old school and keep a journal of your super fun adventures.
However, you must make sure that you are a true blue explorer and navigator who wouldn’t be hindered by distance and wouldn’t mind to get a little sun-kissed or soaked in the rain. You should be willing to spend a night in a tent one day, or at a local’s house the next.
It goes without saying that this job also requires a perfectly healthy body and mind. More than having the necessary strength and energy for daily nature-hopping and sight-seeing, you should also be a skilled communicator who is social media savvy because you would need to share your journey with the social media community, and a people person because you would need to talk to locals to know more about the rich Canadian heritage and history.
This job is a 5-month contract that will run from May 12th to September 30, 2015. Apart from the bagful of Woods gear, apparel and an adventure of a lifetime, the chosen explorers will receive $20,000 as compensation.
