BANGKOK – As the world hotly anticipates the 2014 FIFA World Cup, HomePro and BBDO Bangkok remembers the last tournament in ‘Moment of Glory,’ an ad for the HomePro Expo sale event.
The ad recreates the 2010 awarding ceremony with a cast of Spanish national team lookalikes and little details that reference South Africa, where the last world cup was held.
The 32-second spot shows a football team excitedly waiting for their trophy which turns out to be a bright yellow electric fan that they receive ecstatically.
The ad then ends with the line “Men love football. Women love sales,” followed by an invitation to join the HomePro Expo.
According to BBDO Bangkok, the ad is their way of combining the biggest sporting event, with HomePro’s biggest sale event.
