GLOBAL – NEW YORK, USA, JULY 28, 2011—R/GA has been selected by WaterAid, a leading international not-for-profit organization committed to enabling the world’s poorest people to gain access to safe water and sanitation, to re-define its overall global digital strategy and fundamentally re-develop its online presence.

With a new agency model founded on collaboration across different disciplines and global offices, the project will be led out of R/GA Singapore, with the appropriate resource, regardless of geographical location, supporting the work as needed.

R/GA will develop an entirely new and innovative digital platform for WaterAid, which operates programs across Africa, Asia and the Pacific, ultimately enabling the non-profit to reach even more people, and effect greater change.

“As an organization that is dedicated to helping people escape the poverty and disease caused by living without safe water and sanitation, WaterAid’s message has a truly global audience that needs to be reached,” said Chris Osborne, WaterAid’s Digital Lead. “R/GA’s creative DNA, entrepreneurial people and global experience identified them as the ideal partner to re-define our digital strategy and help us take our story to the masses.”

“We believe passionately in the power that digital has to inspire large numbers of people and to create a groundswell of support for a particular movement,” said Mark Kozlowski, creative director at R/GA Singapore. “This is exactly what is possible with the WaterAid partnership. To be able to showcase R/GA’s expertise in creating integrated initiatives, while also helping to promote and drive forward such a positive and global cause, is a very exciting prospect indeed.”

Platform development, an integral part of what R/GA will be doing for WaterAid, has long been a core strength of R/GA’s, while past campaigns such as the Nike + Human Race and Pepsi’s Dear Mr. President are proven examples of how the agency has mobilized and inspired large numbers of people for its clients.
